Assembly of a nave of a forward wheel

The two-row roller wheel bearing has tight execution. Assembly stuffing and installation of a pretightness are made by lubricant at manufacturer of the car. The bearing is calculated on all service life of the car and does not need in any additional service. Try not to allow tightenings of a stupichny nut with excessive effort, - use a dynamometer key.

Performing procedures of dismantling and assembly of the wheel bearing will require a suitable press in which lack a big verstachny vice with a set of cylindrical mandrels will fit (as those the face heads suitable by the size perfectly will approach). Internal holders of the bearing внатяг are put on a nave. If at dismantle of the bearing the holder remained on a nave, its removal requires a special stripper with captures of lezviyny type.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove stupichny assembly from the car (see the Section Removal and installation of stupichny assemblies of forward wheels).

2. Strongly lay assembly on pair of wooden blocks, or clamp it in a vice with soft sponges. By means of the cylindrical mandrel leaning only in an inner edge of a stupichny flange squeeze out the last of the bearing. If an external part of an internal holder of the bearing remains on a nave, use a stripper.

3. Remove a lock ring from the external end of stupichny assembly.

4. Strongly prop up the outer side of stupichny assembly. By means of the cylindrical mandrel leaning only in an internal holder of the bearing squeeze out assembly of the last of a nave.

5. Carefully clear stupichny assembly of dirt and traces of lubricant. Remove with an emery paper agnails and the teases capable to interfere with assembly of components. Check components for existence of cracks and other signs of wear. Replace defective parts.
6. For the purpose of simplification of assembly of components slightly grease an external holder of the bearing and a pin of a flange of a nave with oil like Optimol VP317.

7. Strongly prop up a nave and fill in it the bearing. By means of the cylindrical mandrel resting only against an external holder of the bearing press the last against the stop in a nest in a nave. Make sure of perpendicularity of landing of the bearing.

8. Having put the bearing in a nave, fix it a lock ring. Track correctness of landing of a ring in the flute.
9. Strongly prop up the outer side of a flange of stupichny assembly Put on an internal holder of the bearing the end of a flange. By means of the cylindrical mandrel resting only against an internal holder put the bearing against the stop in an assembly coat hanger. Check freedom of rotation of a flange, remove excess of oil/lubricant.
10. Install stupichny assembly on the car (see the Section Removal and installation of stupichny assemblies of forward wheels).
