Capital repairs of a steering column Components of a steering column
Steering column - the general information The shaft the helmsman of a column is made of steel. For the purpose of providing safety requirements the shaft of a column is divided into two sections: top (actually shaft of a steering column) and lower (cardan intermediate shaft). Forks with the cardan hinges installed in them are attached to both ends of an intermediate shaft. Holders of hinges are executed cutting and inside are supplied with shlitsevy connection. The holder of the top cardan hinge is fixed on the lower shlitsevy connection of a shaft of a steering column. The holder of an intermediate shaft is fixed on shlitsevy connection of a shaft of the drive of the steering mechanism. Each of holders is pulled together with M8x30 bolt. The helmsman of a column passes a shaft through an opening in a partition. Sealing is carried out by means of the rubber plug through passage. The top shaft of a column in the lower part comes to an end with the cardan hinge, and top - vents and a carving of M14x1.5. on the top pin of a shaft the steering wheel which then fastens a nut is put. Besides a wheel in the top part of a shaft also assembly of understeering switches is established. The arm with longitudinal cuts through which there pass two bolts of M8x22 by means of which the pipe fastens to a board in a forward part of a body is welded on the lower part of a tubular casing. Approximately in the middle the pipe is clamped by a collar which fastens to a partition of a motive compartment by means of two bolts of M8x35. In a tubular casing of a shaft of a steering column two PLC 03-33 bearings in which the shaft of a steering column rotates are installed. Bearings are filled by lubricant industrially and sealed, and therefore, do not need additional service. On a tubular casing the arm in which the lock of ignition/blocking of a wheel is put is established. The crossbar of the lock enters the groove which is cut through in a casing pipe. The holder of an arm is clamped on a pipe by means of special bolts with srezny heads (for the purpose of prevention of unauthorized shutdown of blocking). The steering wheel fastens on a shaft by means of a nut of M14x1.5. Capital repairs
