Models without ABS

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In case of need detachments of a hydraulic tube or a hose it is necessary to take measures against excessive losses of brake fluid. Uncover the GTTs tank, enclose under it a polyethylene film and again densely screw - rather reliable sealing of the tank will be provided now and the depression created in it at an exit of liquid will not allow its level to fall excessively strongly. It is alternatively possible to press a special clip the next to the nipple connection which is subject to undocking a hydraulic hose. The open ends of rigid hydraulic tubes / unions can be corked right after a detachment in order to avoid hit in system of dirt. For collecting the spilled liquid enclose rags under the connection which is subject to undocking.

2. In need of a detachment of a flexible brake hose before removing a spring collar of fastening it in the arm it is necessary to release a cap nut of nipple knot of joining of a hose with a rigid tube.

3. It is the best of all to give cap nuts of nipple connections by means of a special key of the suitable size - ask in shops of automobile accessories. In the absence of near at hand special key it is possible to use Rozhkov who is densely sitting down on nut vents a key, however, if the nut is tightened rather hardly, such way is connected with risk of a rounding off of its corners as a result of failures of a key. In that case it is necessary to try to give a nut with the help самоконтрящегося a reinforcing key (Swede). In case of damage of shlits the nut is subject to replacement assembled with the tube. Before a partition of nipple connection always carefully wipe it outside in order to avoid hit in system of dirt. When undocking more than one connection try to remember an order of installation of the removed sections precisely.

4. Replaceable brake tubes of various length with the razvaltsovanny ends and the put-on cap nuts can be got in service centers of the Skoda company. Having picked up section of the required length (the corresponding removed) it is necessary only to give it the necessary form for the correct placement on the car. Alternatively brake tubes can be made to order in a workshop of car service of the details released by sets. It is necessary to measure only precisely length of the original removed from the car. It will be most correct to take the old call with himself in shop or a workshop.
5. At installation do not tighten nipple nuts too hardly - tightness of connection is not proportional to effort of tightening of its components at all, and is defined by correctness of their assembly.
6. Make sure of correctness of laying of brake tubes and hoses. Track that lines were not overwound and were reliably fixed in all provided arms and intermediate clamps. At the end of the procedure take a polyethylene film from under a cover of the GTTs tank and pump over the brake system (see the Section Pumping of Hydraulic System). Wash away traces of the spilled brake fluid and check system for existence of signs of leaks.


The equipped ABS models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

On the models equipped with ABS before a rassoyedineniye of hydraulic brake lines without fail switch-off the rechargeable battery. It is necessary to connect the battery only after connection of all hydraulic lines of a brake path. Violation of this requirement is fraught with hit in the hydraulic modulator of air which removal in the course of usual pumping of system is not possible and demands use of a special electronic tester (VAG 1552).

Perform the procedures described in paragraphs with 1 on 6. If there is a need for a detachment of a brake tube from the hydraulic modulator or GTTs, it is necessary to belong with special attentiveness to an immediate blockage of the open ends of the dismembered path in order to avoid hit in inside components of air. Before connection of a tube fill it (and the union on a component) with fresh brake fluid.
