1. For the purpose of ensuring access to a control lever the parking brake remove back section of the central console. On models without console remove a decorative cover of the lever. The design of the lever is presented on an illustration.
2. Completely release lock-nuts, then, having weakened adjusting nuts, provide the maximum weak point of both driving cables. Take the forelock and release an equalizer plate from the lever.
3. Remove a lock ring of fixing of a rotary finger. Take a finger and remove assembly of the lever from the car.

Worn-out components of the ratchet mechanism can be replaced in an individual order.

1. Before installation make sure of correctness of placement of components of the ratchet mechanism. Slightly grease the mechanism and a nest under landing of an axial finger with universal lubricant.
2. Start the lever on the regular place and implant an axial finger. Record a finger a lock ring, having tracked correctness of landing it in the flute.
3. Connect a plate of the equalizer of a tension of cables to the lever and record it the new forelock.
4. Execute adjustment of the drive of the parking brake (see the Section Adjustment of the Parking Brake).
