1. Serviceability of functioning of the vacuum pump of the brake system can be checked by means of the vacuum gage.
2. Disconnect a vacuum tube from the pump. By means of a piece of a suitable hose connect the vacuum gage to the released union.
3. Start the engine and let's it work a little on single turns, then measure the depression depth developed by the pump. Approximately, a minute later, depth of depression has to make about 500 mm of mercury. At significantly smaller values the pump is faulty and needs replacement - ask for the help experts service center of the Skoda company.
4. Recovery repair of the vacuum pump is not possible in view of absence on individual sale of necessary spare parts. In case of refusal it is necessary to replace all assembly entirely. |
