Removal and installation of an instrument guard

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery (see the prevention provided in the Section the General information and precautionary measures).

2. Find the end of a cable of the drive of a speedometer fixed on a case by RKPP. Release a nut with a setup and disconnect a cable from the drive.

3. Remove a steering wheel (see the Head Podvesk and steering).
4. On models without safety cushions give the fixing screw and lower the lower casing of a steering column, release it from a clamp and remove columns.
5. On all models turn out the fixing screw, lower clamps and remove the top casing of a column.

6. For the purpose of ensuring access to the top screw of fastening of an instrument guard accurately hook the small screw-driver and remove a plastic cap...

... (on some models instead of a cap the display of the measuring instrument of temperature of external air is installed). Also remove a decorative cover from the central part of the guard of the deflector of a ventilating air duct which is built in in a casing.

7. For the purpose of ensuring access to the lower screws of fastening of a casing of a guard remove the caps established on each side both sets of the push-button switches located on the parties of a guard.

8. Turn out top and the lower fixing screws and remove assembly of a casing of an instrument guard in process of access opening, disunite the electrical wiring sockets located on the back party of a guard. Then release clamps and disconnect a speedometer drive cable from a guard.

9. In case of need release clamps and separate a combination of devices from a guard casing.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start assembly on the regular place and connect to it a cable of the drive of a speedometer and sockets of an electrical wiring. Track reliability of fastening of sockets, then put assembly in the dashboard.
2. Screw fixing screws and strongly tighten them. Establish into place all provided caps.
3. Establish into place the top casing of a steering column, track reliability of gearing of clamps and durability of tightening of the fixing screw. On models without safety cushion also establish the lower casing of a column.
4. Establish into place a steering wheel (see the Head Podvesk and steering).
5. Connect a negative wire to the battery and check serviceability of functioning of control lamps of an instrument guard.
6. If everything is all right, connect a driving cable of a speedometer to RKPP, having strongly tightened a nut with a setup.
