Replacement of epiploons of a bent shaft
Forward epiploon
|
1. Merge motive oil (see the Head Routine maintenance). 2. Take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a tension of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units). 3. Remove pulleys of an auxiliary belt and external covers of a gas-distributing belt, then bring the engine into the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder and take off a gas-distributing belt and a cogwheel of a bent shaft (see the Sections Reduction of the Piston of the First Cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP) of the end of a step of compression, Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive and its covers, Removal and installation of a natyazhitel and cogwheels of a belt of the GRM drive).

4. Drill couple of small openings in a face surface of an epiploon and screw in them self-tapping screws (try not to damage walls of a nest and a surface of a pin of a shaft). Having grasped heads of screws with flat-nose pliers, take an epiploon from a landing nest. |
5. Without applying any solvents, wipe pure неворсящейся with rags of a wall of a nest of an epiploon and a shaft pin surface. Polish all agnails, teases and roughnesses capable to lead to failure of a new epiploon. 6. Grease sponges of a new epiploon and enclose it in a nest in a casing. 7. Blows of the hammer to a mandrel of suitable diameter, press an epiploon in a casing. As a mandrel the face head of the suitable size or a piece of a pipe of the corresponding diameter can be used. The mandrel has to rest only against the firm outer edge of an epiploon. 8. Establish into place all components removed for ensuring access and adjust a tension of belts (see the Sections Reduction of the Piston of the First Cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP) of the end of a step of compression, Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive and its covers, Removal and installation of a natyazhitel and cogwheels of a belt of the GRM drive). 9. Fill in necessary amount of engine oil of the required grade in the engine. |

Replacement of sealing laying of a casing of a forward epiploon
|
1. Perform the procedures described paragraphs with 1 on 3 then remove the case pallet (see the Section Pallet - removal, check and installation). 2. In stages turn out bolts of fastening of a casing of an epiploon. 3. Rotary progress accurately remove a casing assembled with an epiploon from a pin of a bent shaft. 4. Remove old laying from the interfaced surface of the block of cylinders. Working extremely carefully, smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a casing and the block of cylinders, having completely removed from them traces of material of old laying (use a scraper or a penknife).

5. In case of need take from the nest in a casing an old epiploon, having accurately hooked it for this purpose the screw-driver with a flat sting. |
6. Carefully wipe a casing and check it for existence of cracks and signs of deformation the interfaced surfaces. Lay a casing on a workbench, the interfaced surface down. If removed, press a new epiploon in a landing nest, having pressed to it wooden whetstone and tapping on the last with the hammer.

7. Grease the interfaced surface of the block of cylinders with universal sealant and press to it new laying of a casing. |
8. Wind a pin of a bent shaft with an adhesive tape.

9. Oil internal sponges of an epiploon pure motive, bring assembly of a casing to the regular place on the block and rotary progress put it on a pin of a bent shaft, having densely pressed to the block. |
10. Screw bolts of fastening of a casing and in stages tighten them with the required effort.

Remember that the casing is made of soft aluminum alloy and can be easily damaged at uneven tightening of bolts. |
11. Install into place the case pallet (see the Section Pallet - removal, check and installation). 12. Establish into place all other components removed for the purpose of ensuring access, do not forget to adjust a tension of belts (see the Sections Reduction of the Piston of the First Cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP) of the end of a step of compression, Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive and its covers, Removal and installation of a natyazhitel and cogwheels of a belt of the GRM drive). 13. In conclusion fill in necessary amount of engine oil of the required grade in the engine. |

Back epiploon
|
1. Perform the procedures described in paragraphs with 1 on 3 then remove the case pallet (see the Section Pallet - removal, check and installation). 2. Remove from the engine the transmission (see the Head the Transmission). 3. Remove a flywheel (see the Section Flywheel - removal, check and installation), and also a frictional disk and assembly of a basket of coupling (see the Head Stsepleniye). 4. At the corresponding complete set turn out fixing bolts and remove an intermediate plate from the block of cylinders. 5. In stages weaken and turn out bolts of fastening of a casing of a back epiploon. 6. Rotary progress accurately remove a casing assembled with an epiploon from a shaft pin. 7. Remove laying from the block and smooth out the interfaced surface. 8. The back epiploon changes assembled with a casing and in an individual order is not delivered.

9. Grease with universal sealant the interfaced surface of the block and establish on it new sealing laying of a casing. |
|
10. In a set to company epiploons of production of the Skoda company the protective plastic plug allowing to avoid damage of an epiploon about edges of a shponochny groove at putting on of assembly on a shaft pin is usually delivered. At installation of an epiploon of not company production, wind a pin with an adhesive tape. |
|
11. Grease internal sponges of a new epiploon with pure motive oil, then rotary progress accurately put on assembly a pin, having densely pressed it to the block. |
|
12. Screw fixing bolts and in stages evenly tighten them with the required effort.
