Repair without extraction from the car of the petrol engine of 1.6 l
Instructions for use Head's material
This Part of the Head is devoted to the repair of the engine of 1.6 l which is not connected with its extraction from the car (in situ).
The description of the most part of the considered procedures is made, proceeding from the assumption that the power unit remains on the regular place in a motive compartment of the car. In view of told in case the engine is already dismantled and installed on a workbench or the assembly stand, many of the described steps have to be lowered.
Let's notice that despite physical capacity of performance of repair of in situ of such components as conrod and piston groups, works of this sort are usually performed after dismantling of the engine in view of need of holding some auxiliary procedures, not to mention requirements to respect for purity of details and absolute passability of maslotok.
General description of the engine
The considered engine concerns to family of 4-cylinder petrol engines with line placement of cylinders and the top arrangement of the camshaft (OHC). The engine is installed cross in a forward part of the car. Assemblies of transmission and coupling are in the left part of the power unit. On a design the engine is similar to the engine of 1.3 l considered above.
The block of cylinders is manufactured of iron casting, a head - of aluminum alloy. In a head the camshaft which drive is carried out by the gear belt drive from a bent shaft is installed. In the directing plugs pressed in a body of a head inlet and final valves are put. Closing of each of valves happens due to the effort developed by the only screw spring. Cams of the camshaft influence valves directly through the hydraulic pushers put in individual nests. Supply of oil in hydrocompensators and for lubricant of pushers is carried out through the maslotoka heads cast in a body.
The bent shaft is installed in five radical bearings. The bearing installed between the second and third cylinders is persistent and controls an axial side play of a shaft.
Circulation of cooling liquid happens due to functioning of the water pump put in action from a gas-distributing belt. Details by the principle of functioning of the cooling system can be obtained from materials of the Head of the Cooling system, heating.
The compulsory lubrication system of the engine is organized by means of the pump put in action by individual chain transfer from a bent shaft. The oil intake from the pallet of a case is carried out through the maslozabornik equipped with the mesh filter. Before giving in an engine lubricant contour oil is banished through the full-line oil filter of replaceable type established outside. Having passed through the filter, oil comes to a head of cylinders where it is used for greasing of bearing necks of the camshaft and hydraulic pushers of valves, and further, in an engine case, to radical and conrod bearings, piston fingers and mirrors of cylinders.
The list of repair procedures which implementation does not demand extraction of the engine from the car
Procedures of repair and service of the engine which implementation can be made by in situ are listed below:
a) Removal and installation of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units; b) Removal and installation of the camshaft; c) Removal and installation of an epiploon of the camshaft; d) Removal installation of a cogwheel of the camshaft; e) Removal and installation of the water pump (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating); f) Replacement of epiploons of a bent shaft; g) Removal and installation of a cogwheel of a bent shaft; h) Removal and installation of a head of cylinders; i) Check of a state and replacement of support of a suspension bracket of the power unit; j) Removal and installation of assembly of the oil pump with a maslozabornik; k) Removal and installation of the pallet of a case; l) Removal, check of a state and installation of a belt of the GRM drive with cogwheels and a forward cover.
