Reduction of the piston of the first cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The Top Dead Point (TDP) is called the highest point of a piston stroke in the cylinder. Generally speaking, in 4-stroke engines in the course of rotation of a bent shaft this situation is reached by the piston twice: once at the end of a step of compression and the second - at the end of a final step. For performance of settings of phases of gas distribution and installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder is in most cases used. Also it is accepted to call this provision the provision of VMT of the engine.
2. The first is called the cylinder located in the right part of the engine (the next to a gas-distributing belt). In the paragraphs given below the description of the procedure of reduction of the piston of this cylinder in the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression is stated. Remember that rotation of a bent shaft clockwise is considered normal (looking from the right board of the car).
3. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. In case of need turn out all spark plugs (see the Head Routine maintenance) for the purpose of simplification of a provorachivaniye of the engine.
4. On models with the distributor of ignition release clamps and uncover with cases the distributor together with the wires connected to it by VV.
5. Turn a steering wheel against the stop to the right. Turn out three screws of fastening of the right side section of protection of a case and remove section for the purpose of ensuring access to a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft.

6. By means of the face key which is put on a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft turn the engine in the normal direction so that risk on an internal rim of a pulley of a bent shaft it was combined with a zero mark of the gas-distributing chain of a scale applied on a cover. On models without risk distributor on a pulley can be absent, despite existence of a scale on a cover. In this case bring the engine into the provision of VMT, then put to risk independently (directly opposite to a zero mark of a scale).

7. After implementation of the instructions provided in the previous paragraphs pistons of the first and fourth cylinders of the engine will fall into a state of VMT. And in will only one of them be in the end of a step of compression.

8. On models with the distributor correctness of reduction of the engine in the provision of VMT (the end of a step of compression of the first cylinder) can be checked on deployment of a nose of the runner risks on a distributor case rim aside. If the runner is deployed to the opposite side, then at the end of a step of compression there is the fourth cylinder and the bent shaft should be turned on one whole revolution (360 °) clockwise.

9. On models without distributor confirmation of approach of the piston to the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression can be checked on increase of pressure in the cylinder. Stop up with a finger a candle opening of the first cylinder and turn a bent shaft until pressure in the cylinder does not rise to the maximum value.
10. In order that from a starting position of VMT of the engine to pass to provisions of VMT of the end of a step of compression of the remained cylinders (in the order of ignition - see Specifications at the beginning of the Head), it is necessary to turn consistently a bent shaft clockwise on 180 °.
