On equipped In models a multicostal belt it is equipped with the device of automatic adjustment of a tension. On other models the tension of a belt is regulated by movement of the generator.

At installation of a belt its tension has to be have to be properly adjusted for the purpose of a guarantee of serviceability of functioning of auxiliary units, and also for extension of service life actually of a belt.

REMOVAL

1. Park the car on a plain horizontal surface, whenever possible with a hard coating, cock the parking brake and prop up wedges back wheels. Release nuts of fastening of the right forward wheel.

4. The tension of a belt can be considered correct when the size of its deflection at firm pressing by a thumb on the site in the middle between pulleys of the generator and water pump makes 10 ÷ 15 mm.

5. Having finished adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt, tighten at first top (an adjusting level), then the lower fixture of the generator.
