All models are equipped with the 2-circuit brake system of hydraulic type with vacuum strengthening. The Main Brake Cylinder (MBC) has a dual design. Contours of hydraulic system function independently, i.e. in case of refusal one of them, the second continues to provide adequate braking of the car with two wheels. In normal conditions both brake contours function in unison. The system of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS) is included in a basic equipment of some models, on others can be established in addition (for more details see the Section Removal and installation of components of the ABS systems).
Brake mechanisms of forward wheels on all models have a disk design. Back wheels are equipped with drum brake mechanisms. Supports of disk brake mechanisms have a one-piston design with the floating bracket providing uniformity of distribution of effort between two to brake shoes. The forward and back boots put in action by the 2-piston wheel cylinder are placed in drums of brake mechanisms of back wheels. The special adjusting mechanism automatically compensates wear of frictional slips due to updating of the provision of boots.
On not equipped ABS models the hydraulic contour of back brake mechanisms switched on pressure valve regulator. The valve can react to change both pressure in a contour, and extent of loading of the car, and in the first case two valves (on one on everyone their wheels) rolled directly in GTTs, and in the second - one, fixed on a body of the car and connected to the back bridge a spring are used. Existence of the valve regulator(s) allows system to correct in due time pressure in hydraulic contours of brake mechanisms of back wheels, preventing thereby premature blocking of the last at sharp braking.
The parking brake has the independent mechanical drive and influences back wheels of the car.
