Removal, check of a state and installation of the camshaft and pushers of valves (engine of 1.3 l)

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove assembly of an axis of yokes.
2. Serially take bars of pushers and put them as installation on the engine in the box which is specially prepared and broken into sections. Pay attention that bars of pushers of inlet valves are made of aluminum, and final - are cast from cast iron.
3. Give four nuts of fastening of a cover of pushers to the forward party of the block of cylinders. Remove from hairpins of a washer and sealing plugs. Having accurately hooked, separate a cover from the block and remove it together with rubber sealing laying.

4. Take pushers...

... also lay their everyone to the bar. Get pushers and you store in an order of their initial installation. Installation of components, suitable for the use, on the engine has to be made strictly in a former order for the purpose of minimization of speed of wear of working ledges of cams of the camshaft.

5. Remove a chain and asterisks of the GRM drive.

6. Before removing the camshaft, estimate the size of its axial side play for what temporarily establish a driving gear wheel of the distributor / the oil pump, dish-shaped and lock washers and screw a bolt in a shaft pin end face, having tightened it with the required effort. Now by means of the dial measuring instrument of plunger type estimate an axial side play of a shaft, having measured the size of its free wheeling in the longitudinal direction.

7. If the result of measurement exceeds the admissible value stipulated in Specifications, at assembly it is necessary to make replacement of a persistent plate of a shaft.

8. Remove the components which are temporarily installed for check of an axial side play, then turn out three screws of fastening of a persistent plate of the camshaft to the block of cylinders...

... Remove a plate...

... also take a shaft from the block.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Estimate degree of wear of the working surfaces of pushers contacting to cams of the camshaft.
2. Putting each of pushers in the landing nest in the block, check freedom of their landing. Pushers have to move smoothly along the axis, but not have an excessive side side play.

3. In the presence of the necessary equipment the landing gap of pushers in nests can be defined by direct measurements.

4. Excessively worn-out (compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications), or the damaged pushers are subject to replacement.
5. At excessively free landing of pushers in nests, or identification of signs of wear of the last above an admissible limit, the block should be given to a pro-point, and to replace pushers new, the repair size (with excess).
6. Check a condition of cams and necks of the camshaft. In case of detection of defects of a surface of necks estimate also a condition of the corresponding bearings in a block body.

7. In the presence of the necessary equipment measure diameters of necks of a shaft, and also diameters of bearings in the block. By subtraction of results of the first measurement from the last determine the size of working gaps in bearings compare results to requirements of Specifications.

8. In case of identification of signs of serious wear of necks or cams the shaft is subject to replacement. At wear of bearings (compare results of measurement of their diameters with stipulated in Specifications), it is necessary to consider the possibility of a pro-point of the block with the subsequent replacement of inserts with repair. If the pro-point is not represented possible, the block should be replaced.
9. Check a condition of a persistent plate of the camshaft. In case of identification of signs of wear replace a plate.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having plentifully greased necks and cams of the drive of valves with motive oil, fill the camshaft in the block of cylinders.
2. Put on a persistent plate a pin of a shaft and fix it on the block of cylinders by three screws. Repeat check of an axial side play of a shaft. Establish a persistent washer and check an axial side play.
3. Establish into place a chain and asterisks of the GRM drive.
4. Oil external surfaces of pushers and fill the last everyone in the landing nest in the block.
5. Check a condition of rubber sealing laying of a cover of pushers. In the absence of defects old laying is subject to further use.

6. Carefully wipe the interfaced surfaces of the block and a cover, then accurately enclose laying in a flute from the inside of a cover.

7. Install a cover on the block - try not to displace and not to overwind laying.

8. Put on sealing plugs and washers hairpins...

... then screw nuts and tighten them with the required effort.

9. Establish bars of pushers on the former places. Track correctness of placement in the pushers.
10. Establish assembly of axes of yokes, adjust gaps in valves (see the Head Routine maintenance), then establish into place a cover of a head of cylinders.
