Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of the drive of coupling

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. In interior of the car under the dashboard disconnect an auxiliary spring from a driving cable of coupling. Remove a clamp and disconnect a cable tip from assembly of a pedal of coupling.
3. Return to a motive compartment and find the transmission end of a driving cable of coupling.

4. On models with right-hand steering remove a lock clip from the cable core, then give an adjusting nut and remove a tip and the rubber remote plug from a cable. Release a cable cover from a basic arm and pass through a cable through a rubber protective cover, the directing holder, the rubber remote plug and a washer.

5. On models with left-side steering remove a lock clip of the core of a cable, then give an adjusting nut and remove a washer, the rubber remote plug and the directing holder from the end of hummock assembly. Release a cable cover from the lever of switching off of coupling and remove from it a tip, the rubber remote plug and the directing holder.

1 — the Nut
2 — the Washer
3 — the Rubber remote plug
4 — the Washer
5 — the Clamp
6 — the coupling switching off Lever
7 — the Holder

6. On all models, moving on a cable back, release it from intermediate clamps. Try to remember more precisely a route of laying of a cable in a motive compartment. Pass through a cable through a partition of a motive compartment and take it from the car. Remove the directing holder and the plug through passage from the end of a cable turned to a partition.
7. Attentively examine a cable on existence of signs of wear of tips and mechanical damages of a cover. Whether check the core was wiped somewhere. Make sure of serviceability of functioning of a cable - the core has to move freely in a cover. Do not forget that the cable removed from the car can seem quite serviceable whereas, being established on the regular place it is disabled. The cable which is in a doubtful state is subject to replacement.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Slightly grease with universal lubricant cable tips, then put on the rubber plug through passage and the directing holder the end of a cable turned towards a partition of a motive compartment.
2. Pass a cable through a partition, having tracked correctness of landing of the plug through passage and a guide of a holder.
3. Fix a cable tip on a coupling pedal in interior of the car. Track reliability of landing of a clamp.
4. Return to a motive compartment and, watching correctness of laying of a cable, fix it in the intermediate directing clamps.
5. On models with right-hand steering dress a washer, the rubber remote plug directing a holder and a rubber protective cover on the transmission end of a cable. Track correctness of landing of the directing holder in a basic arm, then put on an internal tip, the rubber remote plug and an external tip a cable.
6. On models with left-side steering put on the directing holder, the rubber remote plug and a tip a cable, then fix a cable on the coupling switching off lever. Put the directing holder, the rubber remote plug and a washer on a cable, check correctness of placement of components, then screw an adjusting nut.
7. Connect a negative wire to the battery, then pick up an auxiliary spring to a coupling pedal. Now it is possible to start adjustment of a driving cable.

ADJUSTMENT

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Adjustment of a cable of the drive of coupling is made by check of height of provision of a pedal in relation to the arm. At the correct adjustment the pedal of coupling has to settle down level with brake (± 3 mm), and in hummock assembly to be absent any side play.
2. For performance of adjustment find the end of a cable located on a case RKPP in a motive compartment.
3. Remove a clamp from the core of a cable and adjust the provision of a pedal by rotation of an adjusting nut on the equipped carving of a part of a tip. Having achieved the required result, establish into place a clamp and make sure of density of its landing in on the switching off lever / a basic arm.
