1. One of distinctive features of contactless systems of ignition is high stability of the exposed basic advancing of ignition once. In use the car the initial corner practically does not change.
2. Need for adjustment of basic installations arises after replacement of the distributor of ignition, a belt/chain or gear wheels / asterisks of the GRM drive.
3. Check of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition is made at emergence of deviations in operation of the engine, or at increase of fuel consumption.
4. According to instructions of manufacturers connect a stroboscope. The plug of the inductive sensor of a stroboscope is connected to VV to a wire on the right. Food moves directly from plugs of the rechargeable battery.
5. Start the engine which is previously warmed up up to the normal working temperature and leave it working at single turns.
6. Direct a bunch of light produced by a stroboscope to a tag on adjusting a pulley of a bent shaft and an index scale on a GRM drive cover. The general range of a scale makes 0 ° ÷ 20 °, the division price - 5 °. for reading simplification a tag "5 °" on a cover, and also a tag on a pulley it is possible to allocate with chalk or white paint.
7. Basic value of a corner of an advancing of ignition has to lie ranging from 0 ° to 4 °, otherwise it is necessary to kill the engine and to weaken a bolt on the distributor case. Then again start the engine and, watching the tags highlighted by a stroboscope, achieve their correct combination by rotation of the case of the distributor (to avoid risk of receiving electric shock, it is necessary to undertake only the metal case of the distributor, and not its cover at all). Turning of the distributor counterclockwise leads to increase of a corner of an advancing of ignition and vice versa.
8. Having finished adjustment, kill the engine and strongly tighten a bolt on the distributor case, having tracked that the last incidentally was not displaced.

On the models equipped with systems of injection of fuel the corner of an advancing of ignition is under constant control of ECU of a control system of the engine. Manual adjustment is not provided and in case of need can be made only with use of the special electronic equipment. It is not necessary to speak about basic value in view of the fact that this parameter is continuously corrected by ECU for the purpose of maintenance of stability of turns of idling (for more details see in the Section the General information).
