Systems of a charge and start General information and precautionary measures General informationSystems of start and charge are the main components of electric equipment of the engine. As work of these systems is connected with functioning of the engine, they are considered separately from other onboard electric equipment, such as lighting fixtures, monitors etc. to which the Head Onboard electric equipment is devoted separately. The rated voltage of onboard power supply of the car equals 12 Century. Grounding is organized on a negative pole. The rechargeable battery which is not needing service, or needing the minimum service is included in a basic equipment of all models placed in the tight case. Recharge of the battery is made from the generator of alternating current with the belt drive from a pulley of a bent shaft. The starter is executed according to the scheme with preliminary gearing and equipped with the built-in traction relay. At start of the engine the plunger of the relay moves into position and enters the leading gear wheel of a starter into gearing with a gear wreath of a flywheel before on an electric motor food is given. The leading gear wheel of a starter is equipped with the obgonny coupling providing protection of an electric motor against a provorachivaniye at excess by turns of the engine of admissible value. Detailed information on the principle of functioning and service of various components of systems is given below in appropriate sections of the Head. Precautionary measures At service of components of systems of electric equipment it is necessary to observe special precautionary measures in order to avoid risk of failure of semiconductor elements, and also for the purpose of prevention of receiving элеткротравм. When performing start of the engine from the external power supply, or connection of the charger also observe polarity of connection of wires (see appropriate section at the end of the Management). Never disconnect an electrical wiring from the battery, the generator or the diagnostic equipment at the working engine. Do not allow a provorachivaniye the engine of the disconnected generator. You do not make verification of output tension of the generator by grounding of its plugs at all. Do not apply to verification of conductivity in a chain the ohmmeters equipped manual with a dynamo car. When performing any works on service of electric equipment you watch that the negative wire was disconnected from the battery. Before use of arc welding without fail disconnect the battery, the generator and such components as ECU systems of food/ignition in order to avoid risk of their damage. The audio system which is included in a basic equipment of the Skoda car is equipped with the built-in coded lock preventing a possibility of unauthorized turning on of the stolen radio tape recorder.
