1. In case of violation of serviceability of functioning of system search of a cause of failure is run by substitution instead of checked obviously serviceable a component, or with use of the special diagnostic equipment in the conditions of a workshop of car service. Some preliminary checks are described in the following paragraphs.
2. Check a condition of two safety locks of system located in the left back corner of a motive compartment of the car. One of safety locks is calculated on nominal current in 5 A, second (larger) - on 50 A. Knocking-out of the 50-ampere safety lock speaks about a serious malfunction in a chain electrical wiring - at all just do not try to replace the burned-down safety lock, previously without having revealed and without having removed the contour overload cause - such practice is fraught with ignition.
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (CTS) that will force system of preheat to work in the mode of the cold engine.

inclusion of ignition at the disconnected CTS will lead to record in memory of the control unit of system of preheat of a code of malfunction which can be then is removed in the expert with use of the diagnostic equipment. CTS connected can leave and to wait for full cooling of the engine.

4. Connect the voltmeter or a 12-voltny lamp sampler between a wire of giving of food to a glow plug and well grounded point on the mass of the block of the engine.

Watches that the plug of food was at safe distance from weight.

5. Ask the assistant to activate system of preheat (having turned a key in situation II, or having opened and having closed a driver's door of the car) and make sure available battery tension on the glow plug plug (at the end of the period of functioning of system of preheat tension will be disconnected automatically).

6. If supply voltage is absent, it is necessary to check a condition of the relay of system and a wire of giving of food for candles.

7. To find a faulty glow plug disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
8. Address materials of the following subsection and disconnect a wire of giving of power supply from the glow plug plug. Now measure electric resistance between the plug of a candle and weight. The indication tells over several Ohms about malfunction of a candle.
9. In the presence of near at hand suitable ampermeter connect it between a glow plug and a wire of giving of food on it. Temporarily connect the battery.
10. If it is possible, start the engine in the usual way and, having left it working at single turns, read the instrument (about 50 percentage initial jump of amplitude should be ignored). Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications. Nominal rate for each of candles is current with a force of 8 And therefore the indication in 32 A speaks about an isprvnost of functioning of all four candles, 24 A - about failure of one of candles, 16 A - about refusal of two sechy, etc.
11. In conclusion turn out glow plugs and make their visual survey.



1. If did not make it yet, disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Give nuts, throw off washers from the terminal tire of candles. Remove a tire/wire of giving of food.

3. Turn out candles.

4. Check working elements of candles for existence of signs of damages. Strong burning out of the probe usually indicates violation of serviceability of functioning of the corresponding nozzle of injection of fuel.

Do not check serviceability of functioning of the candles removed from the engine at all - the serviceable candle is heated very quickly!



Installation is made upside-down. Tightening of candles has to be made strictly with the required effort. Do not forget to connect an electrical wiring to the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (CTS).
