General information


The system consists of the executive EGR valve, the electromagnetic valve of management of EGR, the control unit of the diesel and connecting vacuum hoses.

The EGR valve by means of flange connection is fixed on the inlet pipeline. The second flange of the valve by means of a semifixed tube is connected to a final collector.

The electromagnetic EGR valve / modulator by means of an arm is fixed in a back part of a motive compartment.

Control over functioning of the EGR system is exercised by the control unit of the diesel which is also located in a back part of a motive compartment near the relay of candles of heat. The control unit activates the EGR system only in the range of frequencies of rotation of the engine from 825 rpm to 3200 rpm. Outside the stipulated range the system is disconnected.
Shutdown of the EGR system is provided also within the first two seconds from the moment of the beginning of acceleration, and also at the movement of the car at the height over 1000 m above sea level.

Replacement of components

EGR valve

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the union in the top part of the EGR valve.

2. Turn out bolts of fastening of the valve to a flange of the inlet pipeline. Remove and will throw out sealing laying.
3. Turn out the coupling screw of a fixing collar and disconnect the valve from the semifixed tube going from a final collector. In case of need give fixing nuts and pick up the semifixed phone from a final collector (do not forget to remove also sealing laying).
4. Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:

a) Do not forget to replace sealing laying of flange connection;
b) If picked up the semifixed phone, replace also its sealing laying. Freely screw fixing bolts and before tightening from with the required effort, make sure that the tube is not overwound and is not under loading.


Electromagnetic EGR valve modulator

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure that ignition is switched off, then disconnect an electrical wiring from the valve. Do not mix the valve socket with the socket of the device of increase in turns of idling located right there and painted in gray color.

2. Release collars and disconnect hoses from valve unions. Try to remember orientation of the valve in a path.
3. Installation is made upside-down.

Track correctness of connection of vacuum hoses. Violation of functioning of the EGR system leads to decrease in efficiency of process of combustion of air-fuel mix and increase in smoke of an exhaust.
