Check and adjustment of the maximum turns of the engine and turns of idling

The gas-distributing belt has to be in good repair as at the maximum turns of the engine load of a belt also significantly increases. Remember that the break of a belt can bring to serious irreversible damages of a head of cylinders.

Maximum turns

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature.
2. Make sure that the parking brake is reliably cocked, and the control lever of RKPP is transferred to neutral transfer. Ask the assistant to squeeze out against the stop an accelerator pedal.
3. Measure by a special tachometer for diesel engines the maximum turns. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

It is not necessary to hold the engine on the maximum turns more than two-three seconds continuously.

4. In case of need carrying out adjustment remove the wire lock and a protective cap from the adjusting screw. Release a lock-nut and rotation of the screw make necessary adjustment.

5. Make sure of correctness of the exposed value, then strongly tighten a lock-nut. Put into place a protective cap and the wire lock.


Idling turns

Correction of turns of idling is carried out by means of the adjusting screw (2). The screw is stopped from rotation by a lock-nut.
