Removal and installation of the fuel tank

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

See the preventions provided in the Section the General information and precautionary measures.

1. The drain stopper is not provided in the fuel tank, and therefore it is expedient to make its dismantle after final devastation. Do not forget to switch-off previously the battery, having disconnected from it a negative wire. The remains of fuel can be pumped out from a tank by means of the syringe or the manual pump.
2. Prop up forward wheels of the car wedges, then a back of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props. Remove the right back wheel.
3. Uncover access and disconnect an electrical wiring and hoses of giving and return of fuel from the top part of assembly of the gasoline pump/sensor of fuel consumption.

4. Under the car release worm clamps and disconnect a tube of a jellied mouth from a tank.

5. Release fixing clips and release cables of the drive of the parking brake from the directing clamps on an assembly bracket of the fuel tank, and also both ends of a beam of the back bridge. Shift cables aside and tie up them a wire.

.6 Prop up a tank, then give bolts of assembly brackets. Turn brackets down and lower a tank. Pay attention that one of bolts of assembly brackets of a tank is used also for fastening of a support of a suspension of system of production of the fulfilled gases - tie up the corresponding section of system. When lowering a tank track that it did not cling the components located in close proximity. take a tank from under the car and merge from it the last remains of fuel. Zakuporte all openings in order to avoid hit in a dirt tank.

.7 In case of hit in a tank of water or identification of signs of strong internal pollution, wash out a tank pure fuel. It is necessary to deliver the proceeding tank for check and repair in a specialized workshop.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:

a) When lifting a tank in regular situation try not to clamp any fuel hoses;
b) Track correctness of laying and reliability of fastening of all lines. Make sure that hoses are not overwound;
c) Bolts of assembly brackets of fastening of a tank have to be tightened with the required effort;
d) In conclusion fill in fuel in a tank and check for existence of signs of leaks.
