Capital repairs of power shafts - the general information If during checks signs of wear of CV JOINTS of power shafts are revealed, take off decorative caps of wheel disks / naves and check correctness of effort of tightening of stupichny nuts. If any of nuts weakened, replace it and tighten new with the required effort. If both nuts are tightened correctly, establish into place caps.Carry out trial runs of the car. If at slow movement in a circle with completely turned out wheels, a stupichny part of an internal wheel publishes a gnash, therefore wear of the external CV JOINT takes place. In this situation the hinge unambiguously is subject to replacement. The increased vibration during acceleration speaks about need of performance of check of a condition of a damper of tortional fluctuations of the right power shaft (see the Section Removal and installation of a vibration damper of the right power shaft). If the damper as it should be, can be the reason of vibration wear of internal CV JOINTS of power shafts. For assessment of degree of wear of hinges, remove power shafts and make their dismantling (see the Section Replacement of Rubber Protective Covers of CV JOINTS of power shafts). Defective CV JOINTS are subject to replacement. |
