Removal and installation of the mechanism of the drive of a speedometer

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In a motive compartment, in a back part of a case of RKPP find the speedometer drive device. Weaken (but do not turn off up to the end) a cap nut with a setup of fastening of a driving cable.

2. Turn out a fixing bolt and take a plate of fastening of the driving mechanism.
3. Having pulled for a cable, take outside assembly of the driving mechanism. Finally turn off a cap nut, disconnect a cable and remove the driving mechanism from the car.
4. Check a driving gear wheel of the mechanism for existence of the chopped-off or lost teeths. In case of need make replacement. Check a condition of a sealing ring. With defects the ring also should be replaced.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Track correctness of landing on the regular place of a sealing ring of assembly of the driving mechanism (before installation the ring should be oiled slightly).
2. Connect a driving cable to assembly, slightly having tightened a cap nut with a setup.
3. Put assembly on the regular place in the transmission, having tracked correctness of introduction in gearing of teeths of a gear wheel.
4. Establish a fixing plate, having tracked hit it in the leading grooves. Tighten a fixing bolt with the required effort.
5. Weaken a cap nut with a setup for the purpose of dumping of internal tension of the core of a cable, then again strongly tighten a nut.
