Removal and installation of information sensors of system of ignition

Control systems of the engine, many of sensors, issue information used both by a power supply system, and system of ignition. In the present Section only those from sensors which define functioning only of system of ignition are considered.

Detailed information an obligatory order to other sensors is provided the corresponding Parts of the Head the Power supply system. The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid, the sensor of temperature/pressure of the soaked-up air and a potentiometer of a butterfly valve with the sensor switch of stabilization of turns of idling which is built in in it concern to them.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. The sensor is installed in a back part of the block of cylinders. Access to it from above is extremely limited (in particular on models of 1.6 l). if the sensor is equipped with the thermofilter, a prutkovy key turn out a bolt of fastening of the last.

3. Disunite the detonation sensor electrical wiring socket.
4. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. The fixing bolt has to be tightened strictly with the required effort - serviceability of functioning of the sensor depends on it.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The sensor is installed from above on RKPP case.
2. Disunite the 3-contact electric socket located in the arm fixed on a thermostat casing. Release the socket plug from an arm.

3. Turn out a fixing bolt and take the sensor from the landing nest in a transmission case. Check a working element of the sensor for existence of signs of damages or a pelting by dirt.


Simos 2P

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made upside-down. Previously carefully clear the sensor of dirt. Tighten a fixing bolt with the required effort.

2. Procedures of removal and installation of the RPM meter and the provision of a bent shaft in the Simos 2P system are similar to that, described for the Mono-Motronic system. The only difference is that the electrical wiring socket in this case is installed directly from above on the sensor.


Magneti-Marelli 1AV

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

In this system Hall's sensor which is built in in assembly of the distributor is used. As for carrying out replacement of the sensor it is necessary to disassemble the distributor, performance this will be to charge to qualified specialists of car service more correctly.
