Removal and installation of a head of cylinders assembled with the inlet pipeline and a final collector

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Bring the piston of the first cylinder into the provision of VMT of a step of compression, then return back a bent shaft by several degrees. For a guarantee of full safety authors of the present manual recommend to remove pistons in a middle part of their course. 3. Empty the cooling system and turn out spark plugs.
4. On models with the distributor of ignition uncover the last together with the wires connected to it by VV (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).
5. Remove the air cleaner with components of an inlet air path (see the corresponding Part of the Head the Power supply system). Remove a sleeve of supply of the warmed-up air from branch pipes of the air cleaner and a plate of a casing of a final collector.
6. Remove assembly of an axis of yokes (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of assembly of an axis of yokes).

7. Take bars of pushers and put their order arrangements in a head - make the special, accurately marked template lath of a cardboard. Pay attention that bars of pushers of inlet valves are made of aluminum, for the drive of inlet valves steel bars are used.

8. The description of procedures of removal of a head assembled with the inlet pipeline and a final collector is given below. Nevertheless, authors of the present manual recommend to dismantle previously the pipeline and a collector (see the corresponding Part of the Head the Power supply system).
9. Disconnect from a final collector a reception pipe of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see the Head the Power supply system).

10. On engines with the central injection (SPFI) disconnect from the inlet pipeline / case of a throttle the following wires and hoses (see the Head the Power supply system):

a) Hoses of giving and return of fuel;
b) Electric sockets of the case of a throttle. Release an electrical wiring from intermediate clamps and take conducting aside;
c) Cable of the drive of a butterfly valve;
d) Hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes;
e) Cooling system hose(s);
f) Hose of a purge of a coal adsorber;
g) CTS socket;

h) At the corresponding complete set - a basic arm of a tube of sampling WITH.

11. On engines with the distributed injection (MPFI) disconnect from the inlet pipeline / case of a throttle the following wires and hoses (see the Head the Power supply system):

a) Hoses of giving and return of fuel;
b) A vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator;
c) Electric sockets of a power supply system. Release an electrical wiring from intermediate clamps and take conducting aside;
d) The electric socket of the sensor of temperature and pressure of the soaked-up air;
e) Hose of a purge of a coal adsorber;
f) Cable of the drive of a butterfly valve;
g) Hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes;.
h) Give a bolt of a basic rack in the right part of the inlet pipeline.

12. Disconnect the electric CTS socket and hoses from the thermostat case.

13. Disunite sockets of an electrical wiring of the l-probe and from Hall's sensor...

. on models with SPFI both sockets are located on the arm fixed on the thermostat case - for release from an arm the plug of the socket should be shaken here and there. On models about the MPFI sensor of Hall it is disconnected in the top part of a case of RKPP, the socket of the l-probe is slightly behind and a little higher. Both are developed by plugs back.

14. On models without To/in release the top bolt of an adjusting level of a support of the generator. Give fixture (a nut with a bolt) and remove an adjusting level from an arm on a head of cylinders.

15. Working as it should be, the return described below in this Section, in stages release four nuts of a head of cylinders located along a first line of the last. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove an arm of an adjusting level of the generator (try to remember the adjusting provision of an arm). Continuing to work in a former order, in stages (on 1 turn for approach) weaken eight bolts of a head of cylinders, two of which are used also for fastening of assembly of an axis of yokes (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of assembly of an axis of yokes).

16. Take all bolts together with the washers and put from as installation on the engine in specially prepared and carefully marked capacities, or the template lath made of a dense cardboard. Pay attention that bolts 8 and 9 (in the order of tightening - see below) are slightly longer than the others, and the bolt 10, on the contrary, - is shorter. Try to remember the adjusting provision of an arm of a lifting eye of the power unit installed three back bolts.
17. Now it is necessary to separate accurately a head with sealing laying from the engine cylinders/case block, having tried not to violate the provision of inserts of sleeves at the same time. Despite big, than it is accepted usually for gilzovanny engines, reliability of landing and sealing of inserts, nevertheless the risk of course of cooling liquid and entering of dirt in the case pallet as a result of careless actions continues to be present at removal of a head. Negligence at implementation of the procedure can also lead to the shift of sealants in the bases of sleeves and to development of leaks after installation of a head on the engine.

At violation of sealing of landing it is necessary to remove pistons, to take sleeves and to replace them a sealant.

18. For office of a head of cylinders, start the lever under a final collector and, having accurately shaken assembly, shift it on the car forward.
19. By means of the assistant remove assembly of a head from the engine. Remove sealing laying.

20. Try not to allow a casual provorachivaniye of a bent shaft after removal of a head of cylinders from the engine in order to avoid loss of inserts of sleeves. If character of the performed procedure demands a shaft provorachivaniye (for example, for the purpose of cleaning of the bottoms of pistons), it is necessary to work extremely carefully, having taken measures against pollution of components and having recorded sleeves by means of two bolts with big flat washers.

21. If the engine remains sorted a long time without fixing of sleeves, it is necessary to fix on it the poster with a precautionary inscription of the corresponding content.
22. The order of dismantling of a head of cylinders is described in the Part Dismantle of the power unit and capital repairs of the engine of the present Chapter.

Separation from a head of the inlet pipeline and final collector

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The description of procedures of removal and installation of the inlet pipeline is provided in the Head the Power supply system.
2. In stages give fixing nuts (at assembly of a nut are subject to replacement without fail) and remove from a head of cylinders a final collector with laying and a casing of the device of heating of the soaked-up air. On models with SPFI the inlet pipeline and a final collector are installed on the general laying, on MPFI models separate laying is used.
3. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces, lay new laying (i), then establish a final collector assembled with a casing of the device of heating of the air which is soaked up in the engine. Screw new fixing nuts and tighten them with the required effort.

Preparation for assembly

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a condition of carvings of bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders. Watching to mixing bolts, carefully wash out them, then dry and estimate wear degree. Defective bolts are subject to replacement.

In view of criticality to the carried-out function and size of the enclosed loading, authors of the present manual recommend to make replacement of bolts of a head every time after dismantle of the last, regardless of their state.

2. Before starting cleaning of the bottoms of pistons (for what it is necessary to turn several times a bent shaft), take the appropriate measures for fixing of sleeves of cylinders.
3. By means of a scraper remove from solid plastic or wood from the interfaced surfaces traces of material of old laying, scratch out a deposit from the bottoms of pistons. Try not to allow hits of garbage in water galleries and maslostok (coal particles are capable to block tightly supply of oil to internal components of the engine) - close up all available openings with an adhesive tape. Gaps between walls of pistons and cylinders in the same purposes should be filled with jellied lubricant which then will be easy to be removed by means of a thin brush.
4. Check the interfaced surfaces of the block and a head of cylinders for existence of scratches, zadir and other mechanical damages. Insignificant defects can be removed by means of a file with small tooth. In case of more serious damages it is necessary to resort to machine machining.
5. Estimate planeness of the interfaced surfaces by means of a special template (an edge of a steel ruler) and the probe of lezviyny type (in case of need see the Part Dismantle of the power unit and capital repairs of the engine of the present Chapter).

ASSEMBLY

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Carefully wipe the interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders with pure dry rags. Lay new laying on the block of cylinders, having tracked correctness of combination of all provided openings.
2. Carefully put on a head fixing hairpins and lower it on the block of cylinders.
3. Carefully wash out and dry fixing bolts with washers. Slightly grease a carving and the lower surfaces of heads of bolts with oil, then fill each of bolts (except that two which are used for fastening of support of an axis of yokes) in the former openings. Do not forget to establish an arm of a lifting eye of the power unit under three back bolts. Accurately acquire bolts and tighten them by hand.
4. Strictly in a former order fill in a head of a bar of pushers, having tracked correctness of an arrangement them in the pushers.
5. Establish into place assembly of an axis of yokes (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of assembly of an axis of yokes). Tighten four small internal fixing bolts with the required effort and acquire by hand two fixing head bolt axis support.

6. In stages in the set order tighten bolts with the required effort (see below).

7. At the first stage use a dynamometer key and tighten bolts with effort of the first stage (see Specifications).

8. Further, working in a former order, by means of a usual face key and a goniometer hold on bolts on a corner of the second stage of tightening (see Specifications).

In the absence of near at hand goniometer make a suitable template of a dense cardboard, or apply a scale with a marker directly on head surfaces. Now repeat the procedure, having held on bolts on a corner of thirds of a stage.

9. Having finished tightening of bolts, slightly oil a carving and the lower planes of fixing nuts. Dress on the heads of a hairpin of a washer located along a first line and screw nuts (at the corresponding complete set do not forget about an arm of an adjusting level of the generator). In that order tighten four nuts (with 11 on 14) with the required effort.

10. On models without To/in screw and tighten a bolt of fastening of an arm to an adjusting level of the generator and adjust effort of a tension of a driving belt (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units.
11. Adjust valvate gaps and establish into place a cover of a head of cylinders (see the Section Removal and installation of a cover of a casing of the camshaft).
12. Restore initial connection of hoses of a cooling path and electrical wiring of CTS. Replace standard spring collars of fastening of hoses more practical screw or worm.
13. Attach hoses and an electrical wiring to the inlet pipeline and components of a power supply system, having in case of need replaced collars with more practical. Connect and adjust a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve.
14. Connect to a final collector a reception pipe of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see the Head the Power supply system).
15. Connect an electrical wiring to Hall's sensor and the l-probe.
16. At the corresponding complete set establish into place an ignition distributor cover with the wires connected to it by VV.
17. Establish into place assembly of the air cleaner (see the Head the Power supply system) and connect a negative wire to the battery.
18. Fill the cooling system and establish spark plugs.
